Fotbal

Fotbal, known as football or soccer in various parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the arms and hands. The game is typically played on a rectangular field known as a pitch, which is usually grass or artificial turf.

Football is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) and overseen by FIFA for international competitions. The sport is characterized by its fluid gameplay, requiring a combination of technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness.

Football is considered the world’s most popular sport, with billions of fans globally and numerous professional leagues and tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, and domestic leagues such as the English Premier League and La Liga. The simplicity of its rules and the minimal equipment needed to play contribute to its widespread appeal among diverse populations.
